A high-level Chinese delegation met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif

A high-level Chinese delegation met Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

According to the details, the delegation that met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was led by the Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency.

At the meeting, four MoUs were signed between Pakistan and China, including MoUs related to flood rehabilitation, information and communication technology, Jinkau technology.

Apart from this, a Memorandum of Understanding was also signed on the planning of China-Pakistan Development Cooperation (2024-28).

During the meeting, a letter of exchange for a first aid center in Quetta and a protocol on manpower development under the global development initiative were also signed.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that China is a longstanding friend who has helped Pakistan in all difficult times.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the China International Development Cooperation Agency for the rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in Pakistan after the 2022 floods.

The Prime Minister said that CPEC has played an important role in the socio-economic development of Pakistan and the prosperity of the people. It is hoped that the second phase of CPEC will lead to development in the fields of industry, science and technology and green development.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further said that the second phase of CPEC is an important opportunity for cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.
