T20 World Cup: Afghanistan beat Papua New Guinea by 7 wickets

In the 29th match of the T20 World Cup, Afghanistan defeated Papua New Guinea by 7 wickets.

The match between the two teams in Group C was played at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Taruba where Afghanistan won the toss and elected to field.

Papua New Guinea were bowled out for 95 runs in 19.5 overs. Kaplan Duriga scored 27 runs, Eli Nau 13 and Tony Ora scored 11 runs, except that no player could reach double figures.

Later, the target of 96 runs was reached by the Afghan batsmen in 15.1 overs for the loss of 3 wickets.

Gulbuddin Naib scored 49, Azmatullah 13, Rehmanullah Gurbaz 11 and Mohammad Nabi scored 16 runs.

Before this match, Afghanistan played 2 matches in their group and won both.

Afghanistan defeated Uganda by 125 runs in the first match and New Zealand by 84 runs in the second match.

On the other hand, Papua New Guinea faced defeat in both matches of the event, in the first match they were defeated by the West Indies and in the second match by Uganda.
