Responding to farmers’ concerns, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar told the media that the government is discussing the issue of MSP for sunflower seeds. “We have taken some decisions and told farmers. Soon farmers will get prices close to MSP,” he said.
Apart from Haryana and its neighboring states, around 50,000 farmers from Punjab, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh gathered in Pipli. They said that if the government does not accept their demands, they will either block the national highway again or close the government office in Kurukshetra.
