BSP has released its latest list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. The party has announced its candidate from Kaiserganj seat, while it has changed its candidate from Azamgarh seat

LUCKNOW: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) led by Mayawati has released a new list of 6 candidates for Lok Sabha elections 2024. This list of BSP includes names of candidates from the seats of Kaiserganj, Gonda, Dumriyaganj, Sant Kabiringar, Barabanki and Azamgarh. The party has nominated Narendra Pandey from Kaiserganj seat. The party has fielded Alok Kushwaha as its candidate for the Lucknow East Assembly seat by-election.

According to the report, BSP has given ticket to Saurabh Kumar Mishra from Gonda seat, Mohammad Nadeem Mirza from Dumriyaganj seat and Nadeem Ashraf from Sant Kabir Nagar seat. The party has fielded Shivkumar Dohre from the reserved Barabanki seat and Masood Ahmed from the Azamgarh seat.

The list of 6 candidates announced by BSP has 3 Muslim faces. The party has also fielded two Brahmins. The party has also given a ticket to a caste candidate from a reserved seat. This is the 11th list of BSP candidates. Earlier, the party has released 10 lists and announced names of candidates for more than 75 seats.

BSP has changed its candidate from Azamgarh Lok Sabha seat for the second time. The BSP had earlier declared its former state president Bhim Rajbhar as its candidate for the seat. Later, the party announced that it would field Bheem from the Salempur Lok Sabha seat and declared Sabiha Ansari as its candidate for the Azamgarh seat and has now given a ticket to Masood Ahmed.

From Azamgarh seat, BJP has offered Dinesh Lal Yadav Narhwa, while Samajwadi Party (SP) has given ticket to Dharmendra Yadav. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav won the election from this seat and reached the Senate.
