IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police said the attacker entered the police lines in civilian form without a suicide jacket. The explosives came in intermittently.
IG Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muazzam Jah Ansari said during the press conference that 10-12 kg of material was used in the Peshawar blast. The roof of the mosque collapsed causing casualties.
They say that during the construction works of the police lines they brought explosives here intermittently. The attackers entered the police lines in the form of cylons without suicide vests. The checking process is carried out at the door but it was neglected.

He said a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the CPC and an inter-agency JIT has been formed for the investigation, which includes police officers and security agencies.
IG Police Muazzam Jah Ansari said that those who were the facilitators of the suicide attack will be investigated. They will also look into how the explosive material was collected. The outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban denied the announcement. It will be possible to identify the attacker with DNA.
