According to the news agency, the president of Iran was returning after inaugurating a dam in the border region of Iran and Azerbaijan in the Iranian province of East Azerbaijan. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was also present at the opening of the dam.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey have offered to help Iran search for the helicopter.
