Due to the ban on meetings, the prisoners could not meet their loved ones for two weeks during Ramadan. The purpose of the ban on meetings was to ensure the safety of more than 7,000 inmates in Adiala Jail, including the PTI founder. According to the Superintendent Adiala Jail, the ban on meetings in Rawalpindi Jail has ended from today. PTI founder, former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, former prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will be able to meet, relatives of all prisoners in Rawalpindi jail will be able to meet according to normal SOPs. Meanwhile, the series of meetings started with PTI founder, 11 political leaders of PTI got permission. Among those who met Imran Khan are Sher Afzal Marwat, Faisal Javed, Salar Kakar, Ali Bukhari, Khalid Masood, Nadeem Afzal Banti, Advocate Naveed Anjum, Sajda Begum, Siraj Ahmed, Asrar Azhar Tariq. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar, Zartaj Gul, Shoaib Shaheen, Umair Niazi have also reached Adiala jail. PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat along with Senator Faisal Javed reached Adiala jail to meet PTI founder. Sher Afzal Marwat said that barricades have been erected outside the Adiala jail and we have to walk from a distance We are approaching the Pindi Bench of the Lahore High Court regarding the barricades around the jail.
