Manitoba RCMP: Gun pointed in St. Andrews.GTN News

Manitoba RCMP are searching for a suspect after a gun was pointed at a man outside a community centre.

On Wednesday night at approximately 8 p.m., RCMP in Selkirk were called to a firearms incident on St. Andrews Road in the RM of St. Andrews.

Mounties said a white Nissan SUV was traveling eastbound on St. Andrews Road when it hit several children outside the St. Andrews Community Center. An adult who witnessed the incident saw the SUV stop at a nearby school, and went to talk to the occupants of the vehicle. RCMP say the passenger in the car, who had already gotten out, pulled up his shift to show a handgun in his waistband, then pulled out the handgun and pointed it at him, and the adult , who was able to leave the area and call 911. .

The Hills conducted several patrols of the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Officers are looking for a new white Nissan SUV with a gold-blue Bomber Manitoba license plate. The license plate starts with B08.

While there were two people in the SUV at the time, RCMP do not have a description of the driver. The passenger is described as white, in his teenage years and standing between five feet 10 and six feet tall. He was wearing a white t-shirt and a white ball cap that was backwards.

Anyone with information is asked to call Selkirk RCMP.
