In the second elimination match of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, Peshawar Zalmi has set Islamabad United a target of 186 runs to win. After the top 3 batsmen of Islamabad United were dismissed within 5 overs with only 45 runs on the board, Martin Guptill and Imad Wasim are currently striving to improve the team’s run rate.

United opener Alex Hales fell for just one run off the last ball of the first over, followed by Salman Agha departing for 5 runs in the third over, and captain Shadab Khan exiting without contributing any runs in the fourth over.

In tonight’s match at the National Stadium in Karachi, Islamabad United won the toss and chose to field first, allowing Peshawar Zalmi to bat. Zalmi posted a total of 185 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

No changes were made in the playing XI of Islamabad United, while Peshawar Zalmi made three changes, including Hussain Talat, Arif Yaqub, and Khurram Shehzad in their lineup.

The winner of the match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will face Multan Sultans in the final.
