Actor Alia Bhatt met veteran actor Rekha at an award function held recently. The video of the two protagonists greeting each other has gone viral on social networks. Now, in a clip from the awards night, Rekha is seen calling Alia Bhatt a legend and the young actor has the most dramatic response to the compliment.
Alia and Rekha received awards at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival awards night. Alia won the Best Actress award for her performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi, while Rekha was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to the Film Industry award.
In a clip, shared on Sony’s official social media account, Rekha is seen telling the audience present in the auditorium, “Today I dedicate my award to the future legends of our country and she is the beginning of them.” Reacting to this, Alia put her hand on his head and pretended to faint, trying to express her awe at the compliment she received.

It was from the same awards night, when the video of Alia and Rekha meeting outside the venue, went viral. In the video, Alia and Rekha are seen arriving at the venue at the same time. Alia got out of her car first and waited for Rekha to finish greeting the others. He then quickly went and hugged the senior actor, seeking his blessings.
Kareena has been riding high with the success of her latest theatrical release Brahmastra and her digital release Darlings. She also celebrated the Oscar win for the Telugu song Naatu Naatu, in which she made a cameo appearance and played actor Ram Charan’s love interest.
Alia, who welcomed daughter Raha with husband Ranbir Kapoor in November 2022, will also be making her Hollywood debut. Alia will next be seen in the Hollywood film Heart of Stone, which also stars Gal Gadot. In Bollywood, his film Rocky Aur Rani is releasing in April.
