Digital Desk, Washington. The US and Germany will send armored fighting vehicles to Ukraine to bolster Kiev in its ongoing war with Russia. The White House announced it. The announcement was made this Thursday in a statement about a telephone conversation between the president of the United States, Joe Biden, and the German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
During the call, Biden expressed his intention to supply Ukraine with Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, tracked armored fighting vehicles that are used to transport troops to the battlefield.
Scholz, for his part, said that Germany is ready to provide Ukraine with Marder infantry fighting vehicles. The United States and Germany will train Ukrainian forces on how to operate the vehicles being delivered to Ukraine.
Additionally, Berlin will join Washington in providing Kiev with another battery of Patriot surface-to-air missiles to bolster Ukraine’s air defense capabilities.
