At least three policemen were martyred in a terrorist attack on a police checkpost in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber Agency on Thursday, TV channel 24NewsHd reported.
According to the local police, the terrorists opened fire on the Tekhta Beg check post and used explosive material in the attack, after which the police station caught fire.

The exchange of fire between the police and the terrorists is still going on.
Immediately after the attack, traffic on the Pak-Afghan highway was closed and a heavy police contingent was sent to the checkpoint.
Police said the injured officers were being shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar.
