Web Desk: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, action is being taken against government offices for non-payment of electricity arrears. According to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), electricity has been cut off in 12 government offices within a week.
According to the sources, electricity was also cut off in the offices of Anti-Corruption, Afghanistan Commissioner and Foreign Directorate General, Public Health Department, Women’s Hostel and other offices.
Regarding electricity arrears, the FIA ​​report has stated that the office of the Director General of Excise has arrears of Rs 1.3 lakh while the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Forensic Science Laboratory have over Rs 7.7 lakh arrears.
The report further states that there are arrears of more than 6 lakh rupees on the Women’s Hostel and the Afghan Commissioner.
The electricity of these offices has been disconnected in case of non-payment of bills.
