Senior judge of Peshawar High Court, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim was appointed acting Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court while President Asif Ali Zardari also appointed 6 additional judges in Sindh High Court, the notification of which was issued.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court.

President Asif Ali Zardari approved the appointment of Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim as Acting Chief Justice of the High Court under Article 196 of the Constitution.
According to the notification, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim will be appointed as the permanent Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court after the approval of the Parliamentary Committee.
