Pathan highlighted Cummins’ consistent performance on the international stage over the past two seasons, including in the ICC 50-over World Cup and the WTC final. However, he expressed some doubt due to the challenging economy for fast bowlers in the IPL. Nonetheless, he remains hopeful that this trend can change in the upcoming season, potentially allowing Cummins to make a significant impact for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Pathan acknowledged the differences between T20 cricket and other formats but emphasized the importance of having a quality fast bowler in the IPL.
Meanwhile, Star Sports IPL expert Varun Aaron commented on the composition of the Rajasthan Royals team for IPL 2024, describing them as one of the most solid and balanced teams. He particularly highlighted the inclusion of Ryan in Prague, expressing anticipation for his performance based on his domestic cricket form. Aaron emphasized Ryan’s power-hitting ability, stating that he is among the best in Indian cricket.
