Former Indian actress and current Union Minister Smriti Irani says that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has lost his family legacy, there is no need to give it so much importance.
Recently, while giving an interview to the Indian media, Smriti Irani criticized her rival Rahul Gandhi for not submitting his nomination papers for Amethi in Uttar Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections.
Answering the host’s question during the interview, he revealed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who defeated in 2019, is not standing against him in this year’s elections, but is contesting from Rae Bareilly.
He said the Congress had given 79 out of 80 Lok Sabha seats to the BJP by not fielding Rahul Gandhi from Amethi.
He said that Rahul Gandhi lost to me in the 2019 elections as well, and even if my opponents stood this time, he would have lost, so his party did not field him against me.
On the repeated insistence of the host, he said that I have reached here by serving the public on my own merits and that I do not belong to a political family like Rahul Gandhi. They have also lost their family heritage.
