Sadiq Khan, the Labor Party candidate, was elected Mayor of London for the third time

The son of a bus driver from Pakistan who became mayor of London for the hat-trick, Sadiq Khan, the candidate of the Labor Party, was elected mayor of London for the third time.

Sadiq Khan was first elected Mayor of London in 2016, in 2016, Sadiq Khan defeated Conservative candidate Zach Goldsmith Before becoming mayor, Sadiq Khan served as an MP between 2005 and 2016.

He was among those who spoke out against atrocities on Palestinians in Gaza.

The leader of the Labor Party, Sir Keir Starmer, said that Sadiq Khan had delivered in his two terms as mayor.
