2 dacoits killed, one seriously injured due to citizen violence in Karachi

Karachi: 2 robbers were killed and one seriously injured due to the violence of citizens who were fed up with street crimes in Shahr Quaid.

In Orangi town near Shah Faisal Chowk, 2 dacoits were fleeing after looting a furniture shop when the shopkeeper opened fire on the dacoits with his pistol, as a result of which both dacoits were seriously injured.

Meanwhile, the surrounding citizens surrounded them and started torturing the dacoits, one dacoit was killed on the spot while the other dacoit was arrested by the police.

The dead and injured dacoit was immediately shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where the seriously injured dacoit is said to be in critical condition.

SHO Pakistan Bazar Imam Bakhsh Lashari told Express that 2 nine mm spatulas, stolen mobile phones, cash and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the robbers.

The criminal record of the arrested and injured robber also came to light, both are habitual offenders and cases have been registered against them in several police stations including Pirabad and Etihad Town, where they were challenged 3 to 4 times.

On the other hand, a dacoit who was seriously injured by citizen violence near Kopak Colony police station area, Pranagoli Marchman Seemna, died at the Civil Hospital during treatment.

The deceased dacoit lived in Kutti Pahari town colony, SHO Pak Colony Khalid Mehmood said that the deceased dacoit and his two accomplices were fleeing after looting from the citizens, one dacoit fell into the hands of the citizens while that two dacoits escape from the spot.

The arrested dacoits were subjected to the worst violence by the agitated citizens, on receiving the information, the police reached the spot and the injured dacoit was immediately shifted to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during the treatment.
