Lahore (Web Desk): 3 police officers were killed and 6 injured as a result of an explosion in the city of Faizabad, the provincial capital of Badakhshan province in northern Afghanistan.
According to the Afghan media, the explosion took place in the city of Faizabad in the province of Badakhshan, a military vehicle was targeted by an explosive material planted in a motorcycle. The spokesman for the Ministry of Interior of the Afghan government, Abdul Mateen Qani, also confirmed the explosion.
Qani said in a statement “Unfortunately, a stick bomb planted in a motorcycle targeted a police anti-narcotics convoy in Faizabad city today at 11 am local time and based on initial information, three police officers were martyred and five others were injured injured. “
The minister added in the statement that the investigation into the incident has begun.
Earlier, some locals claimed that three people were killed and seven injured in the blast.
It should be noted that no group or individual has accepted responsibility for the explosion to date.
