Decision to continue with the Prime Minister’s relief package on utility stores

Web Desk: The federal government has decided to continue the Prime Minister’s relief package even after the end of the Ramadan package on utility stores.
According to the sources, under the Prime Minister’s relief package, 5 basic commodities will be subsidized, where BISP customers will be subsidized​​​​​​​​​on sugar, flour, ghee, pulses and rice.
Sources said sugar will be Rs 109 per kg and a 10 kg bag of flour will be available at Rs 648 for ISP customers at utility stores.
Ghee will be Rs 393 per kg while pulses and rice will be subsidized at Rs 25 per kg.
Sources say there is a plan to continue the Prime Minister’s package on utility stores until June 2024
Under the package, approximately 3 billion rupees monthly subsidy will be given, while the federal government will make a decision regarding the continuation of the package for the next financial year.
