PDM and the caretaker government have presented a wheat scandal, official documents

Web Desk: PDM and the former caretaker government are involved in the wheat scandal, details have been published in official documents.
According to the documents, the summary of import of 10 lakh tonnes of wheat came up in the government of PDM Shahbaz Sharif and on 13 July 2023, the Minister of Food Security approved the summary of official purchase of 10 lakh tonnes of wheat.
It was decided to bring wheat as a strategic reserve but on 8 August 2023 ECC postponed the summary.
In the caretaker government, the summary was sent to the Prime Minister’s House on September 1, 2023, and on September 4, 2023, Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar approved the summary as the Minister of Food Security.
In the summary sent to the caretaker Prime Minister, the price of flour was stated as 5 thousand 600 rupees, after which instructions came from the Prime Minister’s House to include the public and private sectors.
According to the documents, on 12 September 2023, the wheat import summary was again sent to the ECC, but the finance ministry did not officially support the purchase of wheat and said that the private sector could import better, but on 23 October 2023, the ECC Summary of officially approved wheat imports.
