Karachi: Gold prices in the global and local markets rose sharply once again.

In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by 21 dollars to 2322 dollars per ounce.

Despite the sharp rise in prices at the global level, the local gold price has been kept below the cost of Rs 2,000 on Monday due to the impact of purchasing power in the local bullion markets and reduced sales.

On the first day of the business week, the price of 24 karat gold per tola increased by Rs 2500 to Rs 240500 and the price of gold per 10 grams also increased by Rs 2143 to Rs 206190.

In contrast to the rise in gold prices, silver price per tola remained unchanged at Rs 2620 and silver price per 10 grams remained unchanged at Rs 2246.22.
