Web Desk: Declaring the government’s actions unconstitutional and illegal, members of the opposition parties filed a writ in the Peshawar High Court.
According to the sources, in the writ filed by the opposition against the state government in the High Court, it was said that it was unconstitutional for the state government to announce a budget for a month. Along with this, other actions of the state government are also illegal.
In the writ filed by the opposition, it was said that the state government is taking steps to justify Article 26, although the reference to Article 26 is for the caretaker government. The caretaker government can release the budget for 3 to 4 months.
In the writ filed against the state government, the opposition has taken a stand that the elected government does not have the authority to announce the budget and take other measures. It should be remembered that the provincial government, the finance department and the finance secretary among others have been made parties in the writ.
