Doha: Qatar won the world’s best airport award by beating Singapore, which won the world’s best airport title 12 times.

According to the international news organization, Qatar’s Hamad International Airport has been awarded the Sky World Airport Awards 2024. Singapore’s Changi Airport, which has been ranked number one for 12 times, is number two this year.

Qatar’s Hamad International Airport handled 45 million passengers last year, a 31 percent increase compared to 2022 due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

South Korea’s airport is third and Tokyo’s two airports in fourth and fifth place, while Paris is in sixth place and Dubai International Airport is in 7th place.

Similarly, Munich is 8th, Zurich 9th and Istanbul Airport 2nd.

The SkyWorld Airport list is compiled in the light of a survey which ranks airports based on buildings, facilities, decorations, number of flights and management.

Qatar Airport excels other airports in the world due to its modern design and the best provision for passengers.

Qatar Airways CEO Badr Muhammad Al Meer said this success was achieved through teamwork, hard work and dedication.
