Joi AI, a pioneering platform for AI-driven relationships, conducted an analysis on thousands of its digitally created characters and discovered that approximately one out of every ten characters can be classified as “seductive fantasy beings.” This group includes a variety of characters like demonic entities, vampire seducers, succubi, and mystical elves.

“Engaging with these characters through a screen lets us toy with elements of power, erotic fear, and ethical ambiguity without real-world consequences,” Bronstein explains.

“These fantasy figures tap into what is known as the ‘supernormal stimulus’—a brain response that craves exaggerated forms of our desires, like youth, strength, and beauty. Fantasy characters deliver these attributes in their most intensified forms,” she adds.
