DIG Traffic Karachi, Ahmad Nawaz, has issued orders to refrain from issuing traffic tickets from 5 pm to Iftar, allowing traffic to flow smoothly for citizens returning home for Iftar.

In case of a traffic offense involving a family, officers are instructed to issue warnings and provide guidance instead of issuing tickets, reserving tickets for more serious offenses.

Officers are mandated to wear body cameras when issuing tickets and are prohibited from congregating together.

Furthermore, DIG Traffic directed the enforcement of a ban on the fast lane on Shahrah Faisal and encouraged motorcyclists to use the left lane. Additional measures include stopping the parking of extra rickshaws.

The orders were issued following instructions from IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon. DIG Traffic briefed officers at the Sindh Boys Scout Auditorium, emphasizing the importance of traffic control and maintaining a positive attitude towards the public.

Attendees included Traffic SPs, DSP Security, department officers, and record keepers. Focus will be placed on addressing one-way offenses to prevent accidents and traffic disruptions.

To facilitate traffic flow, departments will display pickup time boards, ensuring vehicles are towed only in cases of double or illegal parking.

The department will take action against officers and officials engaging in misconduct or arguments with the public.
