Man Mistakenly Orders Uber Eats Across Continents: 9,600 Miles to Wrong Country!

By Miles Harper

Picture this: you’re all set to indulge in your favorite dishes ordered from Uber Eats, but they end up being delivered to an entirely different country.

This was exactly the scenario for an unfortunate Australian who mistakenly sent $65 worth of food to Dublin, Ireland—9,600 miles away from his actual location.

Oisin Lenehan, 29, expressed his dismay to Jam Press, according to The Post, saying, “I was absolutely gutted.”

At the time, Oisin was staying with two friends in Melbourne and decided to order food as a treat because he was their guest. “We were having a great evening, just enjoying some drinks, and I figured I’d order some takeaway,” he recounted. Tragically, his order of pizzas, garlic bread, chips, and more was mistakenly sent to Ireland.

Oops.

“It turns out the food was sent to a spot in Dublin where I had spent an evening out,” Lenehan explained. “My heart sank realizing we were still hungry and had to start all over with choosing a place and deciding on our order.”

Lenehan had to contact Uber Eats to sort out the mishap and cancel the order, a moment his friends captured and uploaded to TikTok, attracting over 500,000 views.

Luckily, he managed to get a refund just in time.

“He handled the situation so well over the phone,” Lenehan’s friend, Kyle, mentioned. “We couldn’t stop laughing.”

“People have reached out through messages, asking for his social media details and even offering to have food delivered to his place,” Kyle added.

Lenehan, for his part, has a good sense of humor about the whole ordeal.

“It’s great that everyone found it amusing,” Lenehan told Jam Press. “Odd things like this happen to me often, but I never thought there’d be an audience for it.”

We’ve all been there, maybe not sending food to the wrong country, but definitely to the wrong address at least once.

Here’s hoping for better luck next time.
