The female spokeswoman for the US State Department has resigned in protest over US President Joe Biden’s policy on Gaza.
According to foreign media, Hala Rahrrit, an Arabic language interpreter, was also the deputy director of the Dubai Regional Media Center and joined the US State Department as a political officer in 2006.
According to reports, this is the third resignation in the US State Department over the Gaza issue.
On social media, the female spokesperson wrote about her resignation that she resigned in April 2024 after 18 years of service in opposition to America’s Gaza policy.
Hala Rharrit wrote in her message that it takes diplomacy not weapons and being a force for peace and unity.
It should be noted that more than 34,000 Palestinians have been martyred in attacks by Israel since October 7.
