Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Naima Khatoon, after 100 years a woman got the opportunity

It should be noted that Muhammad’s Anglo-Oriental College established in 1875 was renamed Aligarh Muslim University in 1920. It was in 1920 that Begum Sultan Jahan was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of AMU. Begum Sultan Jahan belonged to the royal family of Bhopal. After that, in a period of 100 years, Professor Naima was appointed the Vice-Chancellor of AMU, the first woman to hold this position.
