Speaking about the demonstrations in the United States to express solidarity with the Palestinians, the American Foreign Minister, Anthony Blanken, said that the ongoing demonstrations in the United States are part of democracy.

According to a media report from Washington, the US Secretary of State said that the US protects protests as a public right.

It should be noted that despite the crackdown by American police, student demonstrations against the Gaza war continued in American universities and colleges for the second week.

The deadline to remove a pro-Palestinian protest camp at Columbia University has passed. The president of the university says that negotiations with the protesters continue, and that progress has been made.

More than 550 arrests have been made during the crackdown on ongoing protests at several American educational institutions.

Democratic US Congressman Ilhan Omar, who visited a pro-Palestinian protest camp at Columbia University in New York, said that young people have always pushed for a better US government, whether it was through the civil rights movement or Vietnam to come with the war over.

He said the protesters were on the right side of history in putting pressure on the United States for not participating in the genocide in Gaza.
